How to force a mobile restart if it doesn’t turn off

Many things can happen to our phones. The battery is abnormally discharged, performance is poor, or the camera is malfunctioning. However, the worst thing that can happen to a device we have invested hundreds of euros in is that the phone screen does not respond to touch or the phone is locked directly while using the application.

In the olden days, when smartphones had extrapolated batteries, the only solution to this error was to remove the back cover of the device, remove the batteries, wait a few seconds, put them back in, and turn on the phone. Due to the unibody design of most phones sold today, this “manual reset” of smartphones is not possible today. Fortunately, you can force a restart of the phone to remove the content on the device to solve the problem without going through the factory respect. This restart will only kill corrupted or invalid files.

How to restart your phone

If the lock button responds, you’re lucky to be able to turn off or restart your mobile by choosing one of the on-screen options that appear when you press the on and off buttons. But what if none of the buttons on your smartphone work?

What if it doesn’t work?

If you can’t force a reboot, connect the phone with the original charger, leave it charged for 30 minutes and try again. This eliminates potential battery-related issues. If mobile still doesn’t work, make a backup copy and restore your phone at the factory. Please note that the stored data will be lost.

If none of these methods work, it’s very likely that the mobile failure is in hardware, not software. The most appropriate thing at this point is to contact the manufacturer and have your phone repaired.
